Welcome to Helping Hands!
It's best to view this site on your desktop
Our goal is to improve the lives of individuals in our community through the love of crafting.
Our club was founded in February 2015 By Beth van Aalst, and has operated continuously since.
The knowledge of may different variety of crafts is shared in classes and can always be seen at our sales.
Helping Hands Craft Club is a community-driven non-profit organization dedicated to supporting local community groups and charities and individuals within Grey County through the sale of handmade crafts, and loving crafters.
Members of the club work together in deciding which charities and organizations to support. However, we are open to suggestions!
As a community member, you can donate completed craft items or crafting supplies. You are also invited to attend our events and support the local community by purchasing the completed crafts.
Some examples of organizations that may benefit from our club include the food bank, flood victims, toy drives, shoe box drives, etc.
Current events we have on the go include plastic milk bag sleeping mats known as The Bag Ladies and WIP Wednesdays (known to the ones who attend as Stitch and Bitch) We also had, (and we are willing to start up again,) Cricut Nights. If you are a new owner of a cricut and you wish to learn how to use your cricut , we can help you with most anything from turning on your machine to completing your first project, whatever that may be.
We also plan to host classes for knitting, crocheting and any other lessons our members are interested in.
Helping Hands hosted our First Ever Craft Sale in 2016 and a second craft sale in 2017. We hope to host another sales in the future.
We are actively looking for caring and energetic crafters to join our team. We wish to grow in leaps and bounds this year. If you are a caring energetic crafter and have a love to help others while you work on your crafts and feel you can add spark to our team please let us know by completing our application here.
Members will also have the opportunity to take part in the club's community outreach. This may include, but limited to, involvement at nursing homes, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, etc.
